THE SKIERS CODE

These rules have been designed for the comfort and safety of everybody on the slopes. It’s a good idea to remind yourself (and your kids) of them before heading to resort!

1. Consideration of others
Always ensure that your behaviour on piste does not endanger fellow skiers or boarders.

2. Speed control
Adjust your speed and trajectory to your immediate surroundings.

3. Right of way
The person ahead of you always has priority.

4. Overtaking
Do ensure that you leave enough distance between yourself and the person you are overtaking to avoid cutting through their trajectory.

5. Entering and re-entering
If you are entering or re-entering a slope, check both uphill and downhill to avoid endangering yourself or others.

THE SKIERS CODE (CONTINUED)

6. Stopping
It is best to avoid stopping in narrow spaces or where visibility is restricted. Should you have a fall in such space, do try to vacate as quickly as possible.

7. Climbing or descending on foot
Should you need to climb or descend part of a slope for any reason, please do so on the side of the slope.

8. Respect warning signs and markings
Always obey warning signs and markings along the pistes.

9. Emergency assistance
In case of an accident, all witnesses are expected to help where possible.

10. Identification
Always carry some form of identification with you when out on the mountains.
