OXYGENE SKI ACADEMY

If skiing is your passion and you want to make your passion your job, the Oxygene Ski Academy is the place to start. It is a 13 week training programme for people who are serious about becoming a ski instructor. The Ski Academy will equip you with the skills and techniques required to pass your “Test Technique”. This is the rigorous entry test that opens the door to the diploma course to become a French-qualified ski instructor. From there, Oxygene will work alongside you to turn your passion for skiing into a rewarding, professional career on the slopes. A 13-WEEK PROGRAMME

The Test Technique is the first step on the road to qualification as an alpine ski instructor in France. It is a tough timed slalom course. To ensure your success, we will teach you the fundamentals of skiing and the best slalom technique. We will use our knowledge and experience to help you prepare, both physically and mentally, for competition skiing. Our experienced and dedicated coaches will evaluate you regularly using video analysis. During the course we will also educate you about the mountain environment, acclimatisation and provide essential first aid training.

The Ski Academy programme for season 2019/20 will run in La Plagne and Meribel from 9 December 2019 until 27th March 2020. There are 2 programmes available. The full time programme (recommended for the best chances of success) guarantees 30 hours training per week (Monday to Friday) and costs €5,600. We also offer a 24 hour per week programme for people who need to work whilst they train for €4,600. The price of the course includes much more than just coaching such as a season-long lift pass, ski outfit, gym membership, FFS licence, language course and more. Lastly, you will need some equipment to participate but this doesn’t need to break the bank. Check out our guide about what you will need.

GET INVOLVED

To take part in the Oxygène Ski Academy you must be aged 17+ with a good ski level (competitive slalom or freestyle skiing experience is a plus). You must also be physically fit, be serious about becoming a ski instructor and have basic spoken French.
